Dear Friends:
We are just about out of the first edition (2007) of our Citizens Guide to Recreation and Sports on the National Mall and seek your input, corrections, and additions before we go to press with a 2nd edition.
Please go to the National Mall Conservancy website -- http://www.nationalmallconservancy.org -- and click on the link to the Rec Guide, and check out the information, photographs, and map.
Please send suggestions and corrections by April 7th to nationalmallconservancy@gmail.com
Or to: National Mall Conservancy
1000 Potomac Street, Suite 119
Washington, DC 20007
What we are looking for in particular:
- The Guide includes names and contact information for many recreation groups. We want to make sure that this information is up-to-date.
- Are we missing any sports? Any recreational uses of the Mall? Leagues or groups?
- Are we missing any links or mention of organizations?
- In the new edition, we are already planning to include a map with bike trails and bike parking, as well as more access and transportation information. Other?
- We also are seeking locations where the Rec Guide can be distributed. Currently, it is available at Bike and Roll Washington, DC (formerly Bike the Sites) at the Old Post Office downtown -- http://www.bikethesites.com/
