Dear National Coalition to Save Our Mall Members and Friends:
After receiving numerous letters and phone calls from various organizations objecting to the August 1st hearing on the Washington Monument project, the NCPC has decided to remove this item from their agenda.
Comments were sent to the National Park Service and the NCPC by the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the Committee of 100 on the Federal City, ANC2A05 Commissioner Dorothy Miller, and the National Coalition to Save Our Mall.
The word we now hear is that a special NCPC meeting for the Washington Monument project will be held in mid-August. We'll keep you informed as the details are released.
